Quadra's Seal and Sea lion Population
Quadra Island

Join us on fun packed day of sea kayaking along the magical shores of Quadra Island, some of British Columbia's finest kayaking. A spectacular excursion you will never forget.

Our waters and islands are home of some of British Columbia's most magnificent wild life:

Bald Eagles, porpoises (small dolphins), beautiful sea and shore birds, seals and seal pups playing underneath our boats, at least 10 different species of colourful starfish including one of the largest (3.5ft) and so many more.

We also encountered schools of Pacific White Sided Dolphins, sea lions, a humpback whale, Orcas and gray whales on these trips.

Snorkeling in the emerald waters of Open Bay is also part of the tour, a lot of fun, not just for kids.
We provide mask and snorkel.

Trip highlights;

- Spectacular scenery: Crystal clear ocean, emerald lagoons, mountain ranges, a myriad of islands and endless views
- Snorkeling and kayaking in the emerald lagoon of Open Bay
- Visit the seal and sea lion colonies, kayak with the seals and pups
- A good chance for spectacular wildlfe sightings: We have encountered dolphins, transient Orcas, grey and Minke whales on those trips.
- A wonderful variety of Coastal Wildlife including Bald Eagles, Otters, Herons, a huge variey of starfish including some of the largest starfish in the world
-The trip leaves from beautiful Rebecca Spit Provincial Park on Quadra Island
-Lunch is included

While kayaking close to the seal rocks we enjoy the breathtaking and unforgettable view towards the Discovery Islands, the Coast and Vancouver Island Mountains.

The ocean here is usally well protected against wind and waves. Difficulty rating: for all levels.

Small Inlet Provincial Park

A day of spectacular sea kayaking and hiking in Quadra Islands remote North. Small Inlet Provincial Park.

Highlights of this tour are the sheltered emerald lagoons of this gorgeous Park, the wonderful scenery, wildlife, the history of this area, ancient native middens and the hike to a deep blue remote lake.

After some great paddling we reach the end of the Fjord, and we begin our hike on maintained trails through the dense rain forest, where we study the healing and edible plants of the temperate rain forest. Trees and the forest floor are covered in moss and ferns.

Some other great features of this tour are the beautiful creeks and the small waterfall on our way to a crystal clear lake, known for its spectacular blue colour, a great place for our picnic and a dip in the refreshing water.

After some relaxing hours on this gorgeous lake we return by kayak to our launching site..
